The Lenborough Singers formerly "The Lenborough Choir" was formed in 1988 and has increased in size from the original 12 members to over 60 and has developed a wide repertoire of music.
Our music ranges from choral works such as Faure’s ‘Requiem’ and Vivaldi's Gloria to church anthems and arrangements of Christmas carols, folk songs and spirituals. We also sing popular songs from films and shows such as ‘Summertime’, ‘You Raise me Up’ and arrangements of songs by Abba, The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel.
Each term we hold a concert in one of the local venues and raise money from ticket sales and donations to support a local Charity. The Charities are chosen by members of the singers who usually have a connection with the nominated Charity or a special interest in the work it does.
Our Music Director is Sarah Wakeman and our Accompanist is Ian Riley.
